Darren Kiely

Darren Kiely, hailing from County Cork in Ireland, finds his fresh, folk-inspired sound in his inherited love for traditional Irish music, blended with modern influences from artists such as The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, and Noah Kahan. Darren learned to play the tin whistle at just five years old and picked up the violin at eight. Eventually, he taught himself to play the guitar as well. Darren began singing in 2019 and quickly attracted attention with his raw, passionate voice and emotional delivery. His debut EP, 'Lost', is a seven-track project exploring the triumphant battle against self-doubt, the struggle to find oneself, the questioning of emotions, and the search for answers. On his next EP, 'From The Dark', Kiely takes his craftsmanship to a higher level by exploring the harsh reality of growing up and moving on. Lost contains the song 'Mom & Dad', which debuted in the Top 40 of the Irish Singles Chart and the Top 5 of the Irish Homegrown Chart, as well as fan favourite 'Sunrise', which reached number 1.
